Margaritaville has lost its leader, it's loveable troubadour.
He found his saltshaker and he's gone to a different shore.
His memory and his music will live on for all time.
His family, friends, and fans will all miss him, his music was so fine.
He was friendly and easy-going, his songs made you sing along,
And always relax--like he knew how you were feeling when he wrote the song.
Everyone whose ever had a broken relationship and wanted to get away
And forget, instantly loved "Margaritaville"--it helped to ease the pain.
And everyone who has worked 9-5 for a living, adopted the great
"It's 5:00 Somewhere" as their theme song for getting through another workday unscathed.
All his fellow "Parrot heads" will mourn, their leader is no more.
