This is the time of year I love the best.
When the beautifully colored leaves
Everywhere blow gently in the gentle breeze.
Not too hot or cold--just right.
Time for hayrack rides, dunking for apple contests,
Sittiing around bonfires singing songs and eating
S'mores. Talking about childhood memories and wishing
Some of your favorite candy was still around.
Seeing who could tell the scariest stories, just to make
Everyone a bit nervous. Who was the best jack-o-lantern
Carver--either scary or nice. Caramel apples and candy corn.
Everything pumpkin was wonderful.
Cool enough for sweaters or sweatshirts, but not parkas.
Beautiful days full of color and all the falling leaves.
Hot cocoa or cider, buttered popcorn, making memories.
And remember to thank the Lord for His bounty.
