The pandemic this year has nearly pushed us
Over the brink. So much tragedy and sorrow--
People being kept from loved ones to save lives.
Even if their loved ones aren't alive tomorrow.
It's not only taking a toll on citizens of all
Countries--it's taking a toll on all First Responders.
Differing symptoms for the same disease, three
Vaccines being mass produced: will they work, we wonder?
And then have the big family traditional holidays.
Thanksgiving--some people stayed home, some went anyway.
We're still waiting to see what the results are of that. Some
Would skip one holiday to save a loved one who could have more days.
The only good thing about this pandemic--it's made us stop
And think and realize what's really important: family
And friends you treasure, being kind to others, memories of
Christmases when you were a kid, like they used to be.
Nothing elaborate and fancy, just simple celebrations.
No techno gadget gifts, but you loved them none the less.
Home made gifts are the best--they come from the heart.
Making sure to share with others who had way less.
And since all the hype and commercialism has
Been toned down for safety, more
People will remember the true meaning of
Christmas--the birth of Jesus our Savior.
