God sent His precious only son Jesus
To earth to save us from sin and set us free.
He spread the Word far and wide--but
He made the ultimate sacrifice on Calvary.
There are men and women today who
Enlist in different branches of the military.
To defend our nation and to keep us
Always safe and free.
Not that I'm comparing soldiers to
Christ--but both give their
Lives to save us. Christ our souls,
The military from any kind of danger.
Christ's message has lived on for
Thousands of years. Back then,
Unbelievers beat Him, tortured Him,
Then the ultimate death: Crucifixion.
Our soldiers go to different parts
Of the world, always at the ready.
Some give the ultimate sacrifice--
Survivors have problems with PTSD.
Christ rose from the grave after
Three days. And ascended to Heaven
To God's right side. Our soldiers will
Go when He comes again.
