STARLIGHT

Houses decorated in bright flashing
Lights and yard ornaments are pretty
And fun to see.  But the brightest and
Most beautiful is the star over the Nativity.

Some people say they don't
Believe in God--yet still
Decorate and have presents under
A tree.  And stockings they fill.

The secular part of Christmas
Is known around the world.
Presents are given to all children,
And they're excited and thrilled.

But we must not forget the
Real reason for this season
We celebrate.  A star shining on
A stable--there was no room at the inn.

God gave us His only Son
To save us from our sins.
Even Santa Claus pauses
To pray and worship Him.

Candlelight services on
Christmas Eve, some have
Midnight Mass--we all
Have different ways.

And don't forget Hanukah.
The lighting of the Menorah is
A tradition thousands of years old.
Christmas or Hanukah, we celebrate this.
