Ritzy people can have their champagne,
Pate` and their bunches of caviar.
Escargot to me are slimy things--
Home cookin' is better by far.
It's no wonder some rich folks are
Thin. They have teeny portions
That would barely fill you up. Chefs
Are more concerned with presentation.
Though some of their food tastes
Quite good and have only the best
Ingredients, it's so small a serving,
A drive-thru gets your business.
I'm not saying to overeat, that's
Not good for anyone. But
Give them a serving that looks
Good, not fancy and fills them up.
I'd rather have home cookin' then
Something fancy I can't pronounce.
It may not be so elegant,
But I savor every ounce.
