A VILLAGE UP NORTH

Way up North where it's cold
And snowy, there's a small
Village that has a workshop
Where gifts are made for all.

They're made by people known
As elves.  They are masters
At their crafts, and their
Creations handmade, not in mass.

The leader of their group
Is named Santa Claus.
He and his wife take care of
The elves needs and wants.

They're always busy, especially
This time of year.  Getting
The gifts made, checking the sleigh--
Making sure the reindeer are eating.

Then, when everything is ready,
On Christmas Eve--Santa and
His sleigh and reindeer go around
The world making stops in every land.

If you haven't been good--
You'll get a lump of coal.
If you've been helpful and kind,
You'll receive a gift from the North Pole.

But also remember at this time
Of year, everyone--even Santa Claus
Celebrates Christ's birth and pays
Homage to Him and gives Him laude.
