WE NEED MORE BEAUTY

We need more beauty in our world.
Not physical beauty or scenic
Beauty--but honest to goodness human
Heart and soul beauty that's epic.

We all hear about the hatred
And the killing everywhere.
It shouldn't be only when there is
Disaster or tragedy we show we care.

Random acts of kindness--
Shouldn't always be random.
If everyone did some everyday, maybe
Some of the hatred would be undone.

Treat people with respect, not disdain.
Prove you can be trusted and are
Responsible.  Don't let anyone destroy your
Self esteem, and always show you care.

With all the hate and violence
Making us depressed and nauseous--
Wouldn't it be wonderful if it
Could be totally replaced with kindness?

Wouldn't it be wonderful if
The news only had good things
To report and all people
Could come to an understanding?

It may not seem realistic, but
What a wonderful world it could be--
If all hatred and killing were stopped,
And left us with kindness and humanity.
