MUSIC

Music is a form of language
In itself that is universal.
It can tell a story from life--
Convey loneliness, or be spiritual.

It can speak of romance,
Sadness, joyful celebration.
Sometimes songs can even
Inspire an entire nation.

It can make you laugh,
Cry, or sing along.
Music can be used to send
A message about things gone wrong.

They say music soothes
The savage beast.
Some people listen to
Music to fall asleep.

Elderly dementia patients
May sometimes be restless,
They may not know people, but music
Calms them, they remember it best.

Music's different genres are
Like different dialects--no one
Understands them all, or wants to.
The language of music will never be done.
