I'm Just Me

I'm not perfect, I'm as far
From it as I can be.
I'm not beautiful and graceful,
I'm just me.

Can't carry a tune in a bucket,
Can't dance--I have two left feet.
But I have a good memory, when I
Do something, I make sure it's complete.

I'm slow to anger regarding myself,
But mess with my friends and family
Or my pets--you'll feel my wrath.
I don't swear or hit--but there's no misunderstanding.

I'm stubborn as a mule--runs in
The family.  If you're my friend,
We're friends for life.  I follow
The Golden Rule--it doesn't bend.

I try to help when I can.  I'm there
To listen, or just hold a hand.  My humor is dry,
My sarcasm well-known,
 I may have some fans.

I believe in God and love Him,
I know though Í'm a mess, He loves me.
I'm definitely no saint---
I'm just me.
