Understanding?

I don't understand the things
That are happening in this life.
Innocents are murdered, loved ones
And countries betrayed, causing more strife.

Leaders in governments that don't
Seem to know what to do--
Except bicker and call names, but
Doing nothing to help citizens like me and you.

People leaving their homelands
Due to war and fear of certain death.
People making  and selling drugs that
Can kill, like cocaine, heroin, or meth.

Fires caused by lightening or arson,
Burning beautiful forests and homes.
Floods uprooting generations of families
Whose ancestors built their lives stone by stone.

I know the Bible says this will
Happen in the end of days,
I believe in God and trust Him--
It's just sad that we'll end this way.
