USELESS

It doesn't make you feel better,
It poisons your soul.
And colors the way you see things--
It won't help you reach your goals.

You may feel superior to others,
But you can push people away.
No one wants to hear you gloat
How much you hate someone day after day.

It causes fear, arguments, death--
And can destroy families, countries,
And innocent lives, making children orphans.
It has it's own agenda, and hears no pleas.

Trying to settle problems diplomatically
Won't work as long as it's in the mix.
You'd have to go back to when time began
To get this problem fixed.

The problem I'm talking about
Is the emotion called HATE.
Some people live and breathe it--
Getting revenge is their fate.

Hate causes many problems
And disasters--trouble is a plus.
With all the things it causes--
One word describes it:  USELESS.
