Shadows

Don't stand in the shadows,
Come into the light and show your worth.
God gave it to you
At the moment of your birth.

Don't lie or manipulate others
Just because you feel you can--
That's going into the shadows,
The dark side of man.

Don't hate or hurt others
Who may be different than you.
They are God's creations,
And have their worth too.

Don't do something evil and cruel
And say it's God's will.
Earthly courts will judge you now--
But the final judgement of God is greater still.

Being afraid of what you don't know
Or simply do not understand--
Has been the cause of tragedy
Since time began.

Don't be in the shadows--
Step into God's love and light.
Working together as one--
We may just get it right.
