Confliction

Everywhere you go, everything you hear--
People are fighting and killing each other.
Terrorism, riots over deaths caused under
Suspicious circumstances that bother.

Whether shootings involving police,
Gangs or family and friends,
Killing each other over disagreements
That violence and death permanently end.

Standing up for what you believe in
Or against unlawful acts--
Does not include property destruction
Or looting and arson--it only detracts.

Violence solves nothing, it only causes pain.
We all need to come together to plan
How to fix the problems--wherever and
Whatever they are, show that we can.

Cities don't need to be destroyed to shine
Light on problems--contact your local media, your
State and US representatives, protest
PEACEFULLY and work toward the cure.

No matter your race, religion, or life
Situation, there are peaceful ways
To resolve problems even if they're with
Government leaders or law enforcement gone astray.

Your grievances may be righteous,
But rioting defeats the purpose.
Leaving families afraid, communities destroyed.
All that destruction obliterates what's just.
