Don't Make Assumptions

Just because you're quiet,
Doesn't always mean you're shy.
You may just be more observant
Than the next guy.

Just because you show
Compassion and kindness,
Doesn't mean you are weak.  It shows how
Strong you really are--no one has to guess.

Just because you are reserved and calm,
Doesn't mean you don't feel anger.
You take a lot, but when you reach your limit--
Don't be a fool and keep poking the tiger.

Just because you like to help
Doesn't mean you are a doormat.
It means you follow God's law
And help the less fortunate.

Don't ever make assumptions
About someone you don't really know.
That can lead to misunderstandings,
And loss of a friendship that never got to grow.
