Changes In The Church

Everyone knows church
Is for sinners not saints.
To learn about God and Jesus,
And hear Bible preaching with no restraints.

Have programs for children,
Bible studies for adults--
Teach them they can pray anywhere,
Despite some people's insults.

The Bible has been the same
For thousands of years,
So why change the church to cater
To younger people and their peers?

If the message is the same--
It will draw people of all ages.
If you're born again and believe--
Your faith will grow, but never changes.

Christ taught us to love one another, to keep
Old friends as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Not to move on and dump them
Without thinking twice.

And when a charter member of the original
Church dies, whether the Pastor
Knew them or not, it's their duty per God and out of respect--
To be there, and not ignore the words of the Master.

The church is it's people,
The Bible it's guide.
Sadly, some by their actions
Don't show love, only pride.
