Don't Be Fake

Are you the person
You want to be?
Or are you who you
Think people want to see?

It doesn't work out
When you are fake.
If your real self isn't good enough--
You know the right choice to make.

Being true to yourself,
And the values you were taught--
Keeps you out of trouble
And show others you can't be bought.

Shakespeare said "to thine
Own self be true."
Different wording--but that's
The Bible's message too.

Believe in God,
Let Him guide your way--
Thank Him for His wisdom
In your life every day.
