What Bird Would You Be?

If you could be a bird,
What kind would you be?
Would you be an Eagle--
The symbol of our country's majesty?

Would you be a Sparrow
And know that God keeps
His eye on you,
Even as you sleep?

Would you be a Canary,
That sings it's joy each day?
Or a Pigeon that leaves it's mark
On statues as it flies along it's way?

Would you be a Penguin--
Short and stout,
In a permanent tuxedo
They make movies about?

Or would you be a Dove,
Carrying an Olive branch--
To war torn countries
To remind them to give peace a chance?
