Little Things

It's the little things
That mean the most.
Though some think otherwise,
Mainly they just like to boast.

Sending a card,
Making a call.
Are easy to do--
Barely any effort at all.

A simple smile,
Or a big bear hug--
Tea or coffee
Served in a mug.

Lending an ear,
Or holding a hand--
Letting someone know you've
Got their back--that you understand.

Running errands for someone
When they're sick,
Getting them help
When they're in a fix.

Keep them in your prayers
And remind them God is here.
Tell them silly stories
To bring them a little cheer.

ALWAYS encourage them,
NEVER put them down.
Just one little thing
Can turn someone's life around.
