Honesty And Integrity

Has anyone ever challenged your honesty?
Maybe it's because they don't always tell the truth.
Or made comments about your integrity,
Using gossip and vague rumors as truth?

Those two qualities go hand in hand--
If you have one, then you have both.
Some of our leaders don't seem to have either,
Even after taking a sworn oath.

No one is better than anyone else--
You either play fair or you don't.
You see countries torn apart
Because rival leaders won't.

Everyone wants to compete--
Even though none is needed.
Hearing people protest, seeing people die--
Means nothing, it goes unheeded.

God made us in His image--
I'm sure He's sad to see
How we humans quickly forget
To be honest and have integrity.
