Are You A Beacon?

Do you let your light shine?
I don't mean being in the spotlight--
I mean letting the Love of God
Show through you day and night.

Do you show love and kindness
To those along the way?
Try to show them someone cares--
And brighten up their day?

Even the smallest act of kindness,
Or a few caring words--
Can lift a weary soul
To feel like flying like a bird.

There is a country song that says:
"You Can't Be A Beacon If Your Light Don't Shine".
And that beacon was put in all of us
By God's wonderful design.

You can do a kindness in secret,
If you don't want anyone to know--
Or in front of everyone--either way,
 Your beacon light grows.

You can show others
How to be a beacon too,
Our world could be a better place
If everyone's beacon light shone through.
