Day or night,
No matter the time--
Dark clouds roll in,
Weathermen are primed.
Thunder rolls and
Lightening flashes.
If it strikes anything,
It is burned to ashes.
Some are severe
And cause harm and injuries--
Get inside very quickly,
And NEVER stand by trees.
Small children and pets
Can be frightened by the noise--
Get your pets indoors,
And distract your kids with toys.
Some people tell their kids
The angels are bowling in Heaven,
To calm their fears--kids being
Scared of storms is a given.
Some people know
When a storm is coming--
Not by radar or TV,
But aches and pains that give warning.
Their may be hail
In different sizes,
The large ones that damage
Are a part of a storm's vices.
Just keep yourselves safe--
Go to storm shelter if need be.
You've made it through a
Thunderstorm on the prairie.
