Some hearts are strong--
Some hearts are weak.
Some hearts are donors
Because the old one leaks.
Some hearts are hard to find,
Their humans are cold and cruel--
Some hearts are big and loving,
Their humans are rare jewels.
Some people wear
Their heart on their sleeve--
Others, afraid of being hurt
Keep it under lock and key.
Some hearts are scarred
By cruel actions and words--
Of bullies who call them
Losers and nerds.
Some hearts fall in love easily--
Some take their time.
Sadly, some are broken
And are left to pine.
God's heart is full of love--
Unconditional and true,
He proved it when
His son died for you.
A mother's heart
Is always full--
Of love for her children,
Her heartstrings they always pull.
Don't break someone's heart
By leading them on--
You might find you had something great,
And now it's all gone.
Don't put your heart
Away on a shelf--
It gets covered in dust and cobwebs
And dries up on itself.
Remember: you reap what you sow--
If you and your heart sow love,
You'll get it back
To you tenfold.
