Wished on a star?
Set goals for yourself only to be told
You're fine where you are?

Loved someone so much it hurts?
Have you ever gone to oldies concerts
And bought the band's T-shirts?

Have you ever dreamt
Of traveling the country
Or around the world
Or crossing outer space boundaries?

As a child, did you
Picture your grown-up life?
Is it all a career, or is
There room for kids and a husband or wife?

Have your dreams
All come true--or have they fallen flat?
Do you know whose responsible--
Have you thought of that?

Have you ever helped someone else
And it turned your world upside down?
Have you been asked to donate,
And it makes you frown?

Have you ever searched
Deep into your heart and soul--
And found them empty
And growing cold?

Have you ever asked
The Lord for guidance
To carry you through?
Or do our own dance?

Have you ever prayed for forgiveness
And help with your life?
To help handle your struggles
And ease  your strife?

Your love is all He's wanted,
He's waiting to hear from you--
Give Him your troubles,
He'll give his peace to you.
