The Economy

The economy is having problems,
We all know that too well.
Corporate greed gets greedier,
While us poor folks go through hell.

They spend money and the
Deficit grows larger--
They make cuts to our schools
So our teachers have less and work even harder.

Make cuts to military spending
That hampers how our troops protect us--
Congress agrees on barely anything,
But their raises and vacations--they don't go by bus.

The President threatens to use Executive Privilege
If things don't go his way,
While our Ambassadors and staff are killed
Because no one listened to what they had to say.

Government says the economy is on the upswing--
But they don't see it from where we do,
They're not foreclosed on, or laid off---
Is this the change they promised you?
