What If

What if the world
Could get along in peace-
All the bombing and killing
Would just simply cease.

What if governments
Could help their people
By doing what's right for everyone,
Especially the feeble.

Instead of playing politics,
Just use common sense.
We've got too many politicians
Sitting on a rickety old fence.

Instead of competing
When they don't see eye to eye--
Or killing their own people
And denying the public outcry.

I know the world's not perfect,
Everyday, everywhere someone dies.
Whether your God is Jehovah, Allah, or Yaweh--
He sees all the violence-and he cries.
