As I look out the frosted crystal window on the cold winter scene, I think back on what I used to think about how my life would turn out--it was just a fantasy.
People need to feel someone has their back, both physically and emotionally. Giving encouragement or saying they're proud of you once in a while can take them a long way with their self-esteem and advancement.
Doesn't matter your social or financial status, everyone needs to have support to reach their goals. Someone they can trust not to laugh at them and their dreams, or get with others and crack jokes.
Without support and encouragement, you won't feel you're good enough to go for what you want. You stay quiet and hang back, so as not to embarrass yourself. The only sign you were even there, possibly a snapshot.
Remember how you thought your life would be--we never seem to add in a
dose of cold hard truth. And we forget about reality. No one owes you anything except a chance. You have to earn the rest, it will mean more to you.
