In this life, possessions don't mean much. It doesn't make you kinder or important, and you can't take them with you when you go. It is sad however, to see that the things someone you loved had treasured being sold at a yard sale. Things that could be considered antiques and family heirlooms passed down through generations. Things that could be sold to antique dealers or items that could go to museums that display those kinds of things. Someone who would know their value and would make sure they are cared for properly, like your loved one did. Some things have craftsmanship that doesn't exist anymore. It can be difficult to disburse items after someone dies, it can take weeks or months, but the person who passed surely deserves that. To see an antique table sold for a buck at a yard sale can make you nauseous. No, you can't keep everything, and you can't take it with you, but it's sad to see someone's entire life reduced to a yard sale and a box of a few things. Today, people just want to get rid of things. It's just sad.
