Is there anyone who remembers the term "boundaries"?
It means a line of conduct or a border of other countries that you don't
invade. If there was a way to give the world an in-service on boundaries
and not crossing them, one should be done. Putin is breaking boundaries
by invading Ukraine. Politicians cross boundaries all the time to get more power
and prestige. I'm not talking racial or ethnic boundaries. They are problems in their
own right. I'm talking everyone, personal, individual human. When I was younger,
people would tell others the area around them was their personal space and to stay
out of their space. They were setting boundaries that they didn't want crossed. Society
used to have boundaries--things that you didn't do to others. Sunday was the Lord's Day
and businesses were closed. Also on holidays. People used to know not to criticize someone
helping their family because that's not how they would do it. Or to go off on someone elderly
whose recovering from an accident or illness because they didn't raise their children the way the
person feels they should have been raised or taught. There are some lines/boundaries that you
just don't cross. They should be guided by common sense and just plain courtesy. There is very
little of that left in the world today, and it's very sad.
