EACH STITCH MADE WITH LOVE

When I was growing up, it was a tradition of sorts for a Grandmother to make a quilt or baby blanket out of scraps of things you'd out grown or pieces of thingx you loved.  Sometimes hand sewn or kinitted or crocheted.  They were always beautiful and became family heirlooms.

It may not seem like much to some people, but to us it was precious and worth more than gold.  Each piece represented a time in your life bringing a happy memory.  And the fact that someone cared enough about you to take time and make it, made you feel special.  Some were knitted or crocheted in your favorite colors into beautiful designs.  Better than store bought.

You always knew each stitch was made with love and care for you.  It wasn't made on an assembley line machine in a warehouse.  Always treasure them and treat them with care--they bring back memoies of your childhood and the one that loved you enough to make it.  That's why a homemade gift from the heart beats store bought all the time. .
