Naomi Judd co-wrote a song called "Love Can Build A Bridge", that became a hit for her and her daughter Wynona. It talks about people coming together after being estranged. The song says "don't you think it's time?" With the world the way it is today, don't you think it's long past time to build bridges? Whether it's family members or friends that have left their bridges in disrepair, they should both start workig to repair the bridge and meet in the middle. For those who had fights and feel they burnt their bridges in anger--both sides will need to put anger, hurt, and dislike aside and learn to trust each other again. They may need to have a long talk to clear the air. If neither side wants to repair or rebuild a bridge, at least they tried. You can't make someone do what they don't want to. The sad thing is, life is so short--one of them may pass away, and the other one may be left with guilt they never made amends. Love can buiild a bridge, but sometimes it also means forgiveness, letting go of old grudges, and earning someone's trust and respect again.
Life is short, don't you think it's time?
