There will never be enough tears shed or words of comfort said to mend the broken hearts we humans inflict upon each other. We're supposed to be the intelligent life forms, but we do some of the stupidest and cruelest things to each other. Countires invade other countries causing death and destruction just because they want to. Dictators annihilate groups of people of different ethnicities because they hate them. People buy guns and go out and kill innocent people for no reason, or because they want to feel the "rush" of killing someone. Churches and hospitals used to be considered safe havens that you don't attack. Not anymore. Students of all ages are killed in their schools. Family members are killed by other family members over love triangles, money, imagined slights, or because someone is mentally ill and never got help. We need to find better ways to help people with mental problems than giving them all kinds of drugs or shock treatments. We need to have stricter gun control laws and find ways to show young people better ways to express themselves other than beating, robbing and killing people or turning to drugs. We all know what's wrong and what needs to be done. Yet nothing is done but issuing statements about what terrible tragedies they are and we need to work to try to fix things. But everytime we try to get a law passed, someone in either party balks,at offending big lobbyists, or campaign contributors. We should be doing what is right for everyone, everywhere. Since we can't seem to get it done, we need to talk to God, and trust He will help us. Without Him, there is nothing.
