The Bible has several verses throughout it about showing
kindness to others. Even the Golden Rule says "Do unto
others as you would have done to you." Whenever someone
anywhere needs help due to disaster or war, people work together
to help them. Some people may mock and belittle you and say you
are weak for being kind. They're wrong. Kindness is not weakness--
it is a virtue that more people should have. People can usually see
through fake kindness. It shouldn't take a tragedy for people to be kind.
Being kind can brighten someone's day, or even change their life for the
better. It also gives the person showing the kindness a good feeling too.
Some will only do it if there's something in it for them. That's wrong. And
whatever you do--never apologize for being kind. There's no need.
