Why is it in our world today, the first
Reaction to something includes anger, hatred,
And violence? Evidently the use of manners,
Common sense and respect have disappeared.
The pandemic didn't help matters, with restrictions and
Lockdowns, hospitals over run with the sick and the dying.
No one knew what it was, how contagious, or how to treat it.
All we knew was many died--leaving loved ones crying.
Everyone says everything will be fine when we ge back
To normal. No one knows when that will be. But if "normal" is going
To all the anger, hatred and violence we have--no wonder some young
People take their lives: they just see a dark tunnel, no light showing.
Drive-bys, gunfights in the streets. Innocent men, women, and
Children caught in the crossfire, or killed while sleeping safely
In their beds because a stray bullet came in the house. The danger
Has always been there, it's even worse lately.
Everyone around the world needs to pray to God to help us
Put a stop to all of this hatred and violence. We've already damaged
Our planet practically beyond repair--lets do our best not to
Drive ourselves into extinction.
