When we look at our country, what do we see?
Citizens desperate for jobs, to keep food on the
Table and homes for their families. Doctors and
Nurses without needed equipment, and no surplus.
Hospitals overwhelmed with the sick and the
Dying. No room left, so field hospitals are
Set up in parks or empty lots. Car makers,
Due to shortage and demand making respirators.
Cities and states on lockdown. Social distancing
Required, no large crowds , wear face masks to protect yourself
And others, wash your hands thoroughly and disinfect surfaces.
Try to prepare.
Some think the pandemic is a hoax and that the government
Is trying to take away their rights. Tell that to the those who
Lost loved ones, or those who fought the Covid-19 fight.
So many are dying, they are having to use refrigerated trailers
For the dead, because the morgues are full and can't take more.
No one knows what lies ahead.
Everyone in government is blaming the others, so help for us
Is at a stalemate. The president spread it through his family and
The White House staff. It spreads at an alarming rate.
All of our front line First Responders are becoming depressed.
They can't tell patients if they'll make it--that's tearing them up.
And watching them die--no family allowed, only staff.
If we ever get rid of this pandemic, I hope the world
Has learned a valuable lesson: Working together to help
The world is much better than going to battle.
