Dear Lord we pray tonight as we do every night,
That the bright, shining Christmas Star will be the
Light at the end of our long pandemic tunnel.
As it led the Wise Men to Christ's birth, so let
It shine brightly to lead us out of the depths of fear,
Darkness, and depression. And give us hope.
We know vaccines are coming, please let them
Work to help us and not harm us with side affects
Or after affects. And let us not forget those we've lost.
Once we've gotten the vaccine, please don't let us drop
Our guard. Let us always be mindful of what this pandemic
Has done to this world and be vigilant.
Lives around the world will be forever changed and will not
Go back to what we called "normal". Some people will no longer
Have businesses, homes, or income. Some will have to be re-taught
To function again after being on a ventilator and fighting for their lives.
Bless the front line First Responders.
And please help us to stop the hatred and violence. The world has
Been through a tragedy, and we need to come together as human beings
To get economies of countries and lives restarted.
It will not be easy--no one ever said it would, but everything of
Value takes hard work and perseverance. Please don't let pettiness
And injustice in any form raise their ugly heads. And let everyone,
Everywhere remember to praise Your name and thank You for Your
Love, grace, and kindness--and for letting the Christmas Star and Your
Son be the light at the end of our long, dark, sad tunnel.
