Why is it that so many people these
Days refuse to accept responsibility
Or blame for what they've said or done wrong?
I was taught accepting blame showed integrity.
I was also taught that it's a sign of being
A mature adult to accept the consequences
And not try to blame someone else for
What you did, even if there are witnesses.
Just because someone doesn't agree
With your opinion or your version
Of something--is no reason to go around
Saying lies about them and ruining their reputation.
People who do that act more like children
Than adults. If they don't recall a situation,
Or have a different recall of it--they're always
Right and everyone else is wrong. End of discussion.
Everyone should accept responsibility
For their words and actions and for
The consequences they bring--good or bad.
Which they should have thought of before.
