The sun comes up on a brand new
Country morning. It's rays shine
Brightly on the beautiful fall
Foliage of the trees and vines.
A stream flows peacefully down
The hillside, the water cold and clear.
Across the way is a log house that
A couple lives in all year.
They're close enough to a city
In case of emergency. They
Have cell phones and internet to
Keep in contact with family.
They can work from the cabin easily.
So they have an income, plus their
Retreat. No crazy rat race or
Traffic jams--just peace and fresh air.
Some people dream about living this
Way in the future. Some make it--
Some don't. You have to have a
Financial plan and strategy to fit.
The big cities around the country
Are full of things to see that are nice,
But the peace and beauty of the countryside
Will always make you think twice.
