"Through The Years", Kenny Rogers blessed us with his
musical talent. He told us about a man named "Rueben James"
that helped a homeless boy. He asked : "Ruby, Don't Take Your
Love To Town". And who can forget when "Lucille" left? Every
woman who heard him sing "Lady" fell in love with him. He let
everyone know that "Love Lifted Me". He knew that "She Believes
In Me", and he treasured her support. He wrote a song about his life
on the road "Sing Your Song Sweet Music Man". He and Kim Karnes
warned us: "Don't Fall In Love With A Dreamer." He and Dottie West
told us what happens "When Two Fools Collide". And he and Sheena
Easton asked what everyone asks: "Why Don't You Stay?" He and Dolly
were their own "Islands In The Stream". Their Christmas album was
wonderful. As Brady Hawkes, "The Gambler" he taught a young man
some life lessons during a train ride. Everyone can repeat those words.
With the song "Buy Me A Rose", he reminded us to show our loved
ones we care for them. And it started with him "Just Checkin' In To See
What Condition My Condition Is In". There are so many wonderful songs
he gave us. RIP Kenny Rogers--you are missed.
