God granted you another day to
Live.  The pure, sweet innocence
Of a child.  Hearing the clear, joyful
Giggle of a child at nonsense.

Having a home and family to
Come home to.  Finding that you
Are truly well-liked and respected.
Eating your favorite comfort food.

The beauty of a garden in bloom.
Hearing the birds sing in the trees.
Listening to all your favorite songs--
Even if now they're called "oldies".

Knowing that you were able to help
Someone.  And not wanting anything back.
Recovering from a serious illness and
Beginning to get back on track.

Knowing you are in someone's prayers,
Just as they are in yours.  Treating
Others with kindness and being treated in
Kind.  Acquire things honestly, not by cheating.

The joy of having a pet that
Becomes part of the family.  Rescue
Strays and give them a second chance.
One day they may rescue you.

Knowing that someone has your back
When you need it.  Keep in contact
With old friends--not just to reminisce,
But to keep the friendship intact.

God is in Heaven and sent His
Only Son to die for our sins so
We are washed white as snow.  Spread
The word so that all will know.
