BONNIE

She was an Angel Of Mercy
Down here on earth.
Today she'd be called a Front
Line hero.  She was a nurse.

Kind, caring, and gentle, with
A sense of humor too.
Somewhat quiet, she could be
Firm and express her point of view.

All her co-workers loved her,
And helped her as she fought
Cancer--knowing she'd do the same.
Some days were bad, but she did her job.

When she was too weak and sick or
In the hospital, she wouldn't be at work
Otherwise she'd be there half days--
She wasn't one to shirk.

If she wasn't strong enough to
Check in patients, she'd work at
Her desk doing paperwork--
There was plenty of that.

The patients all loved her, and were
Sad to hear of her passing.
All those who knew her
Knew her friendship was a blessing.
