A MOTHER'S LOVE ENDURES

A mother's love endures long after
She is gone.  Not just with her children,
But every generation that comes after--
Will feel it passed to them.

From the time you're placed on
Your Mom's chest at birth, and even
In the womb--a bond is created,
That handled carefully, won't ever end.

People may tell you that you look
Or act just like your mother--maybe
A gesture  or a phrase.  It will take you
Back to childhood and loving memories.

A mother's love is like a pebble
Thrown into a lake--it generates
Ripple after ripple, and influences how
You raise your family--with love, not hate.

And when a child is grown and faces
A predicament, they may stop and wonder:
"what would Mom do?"  Or you'll hear
Her voice in your ear and find your answer.

Just remember when you're the mother--
To pass down the love and lessons taught
To you.  And share memories of times with
