SECRET LIVES

There are prominent people who lead secret lives
These days.  And they don't want to be found out.
All walks of life:  Royalty, Politicians, Executives,
Celebrities.  Ask questions, they know nothing about.

Then there are everyday people who report
Their families or children or spouses missing.
They act concerned and cooperate with police.
But there's a horrible secret they're keeping.

Most family members of missing people
Never give up until they're found alive or
Their remains are found, and they want justice and
Closure for their loved ones, and are genuine mourners.

But there are some who report their spouse
Or kids missing--all the while knowing that
They killed them and buried or hid the bodies
Because they didn't feel those people were important.

Evidently, they just never learned that because
You're tired of someone or no longer
Care about them, you don't kill them, you just
Stay away from them forever.

People seem to have lost their common sense
And their sense of good judgement--
The things they try to get away with, makes
Them seem dense and heartless as a block of cement.
