CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHY?

Can someone please tell me why
Someone just snaps one day--
And decides people must die?

They maybe innocent children, total
Strangers, or co-workers, even family.
No rhyme or reason, they don't care at all.

I know they say some killers are mentally ill,
Others brainwashed by hatred that says it's
Their mission to go out and kill.

Whatever their reasoning--if you can
Call it that, too many people are dying,
Too many funerals planned.

Too many families and friends
Mourning a loss they shouldn't have to,
Because someone decided lives would end.

Military veterans suffer traumas of war.
Think they're in battle fighting still--
But they're not anymore.

They need the best help and
Care there is because no one wants
To have flashbacks they can't stand.

It's not only veterans with PTSD,
Or TBI's that do mass shootings.  It
Can be everyday people like you and me.

Some just want their 15 minutes of
Fame.  Be a mass murderer and
Show them that you're tough.

Between terrorist attacks and
People being killed for no reason, we
Need God and prayer--as United We Stand.
