MEASLES VACCINE

I feel sorry for the children sick with measles.
I feel badly for their parents feeling guilt.
We've had a vaccine for ages to prevent them--but
Some parents thought it would hurt their child's health.

But measles is a contagious disease that can
Kill the very young--it can also cause problems
In childhood development, hearing, and sight.
Not getting vaccinated is worse than getting them.

Parent are always worried, keeping their
Children safe--putting them correctly in a car
Seat, feeding them the right foods, taking them
To the Dr. when they're sick, why stop there?

How will these parents feel if their
Child dies or is mentally or physically
Impaired--when it could have been
Prevented by a vaccine?  Too late, sadly.

You can be disgusted or upset
That they didn't get the shot--
But if something happens to their child--
Show kindness to them, they're at a loss.
