COMING TO AMERICA

I don't ask for much--just good
Health, a roof over my head, money
Enough to pay bills and buy food.
Freedom from evil tyranny.

I want to worship God when and
Where I please to be able to talk
About Him in schools or anywhere
In public without being hit by rocks.

I don't want to be afraid to
Step outside in case I am shot.
I don't hate people who believe
In a religion that I am not.

I don't want dictators telling
Me how I can and cannot live.
God is my Father, and He will
Tell me what I have to give.

The items above are Basic Human
Rights, NOT PRIVILEGES.
Denial of these and war are what
Is causing a mass exodus.

It's sad.  They leave their
Homes--and are left in the
Middle because no one wants
To help them.  Feelings are raw.

Centuries ago, these people
Could have been our ancestors.
They came from everywhere to
Escape starvation and wars.

Set up some way to come
Through legally--keep families
Together.  There is no place for
Racism and hatred, only help and peace.

Not all foreigners are evil
Murderers and thieves.
That some are in their home
Countries is why they leave.

Government don't sit on your butts--
Set up a system that can process
These people through quickly and
Legally, and clean up your mess.
