WHAT READING TO YOUR CHILD CAN DO FOR THEM

When you read to your child,
You teach them to listen, and
To focus on what they hear.
It sparks their imaginations.

Reading to them can open
Their minds to new things.
Take them to far away places--learn
History with stories of castles and kings.

Makes them want to learn more,
Research what they want to know.
Learn about other cultures and people.
It helps their brains continue to grow.

Those who like to read can focus on things,
And increase their knowledge and broaden
Their horizons.  This does NOT mean that
Kids who don't like to read are dumb.

It's just highlighting the effect of
Reading to your children can bring
To their minds and lives.  People can learn
To read at any age--there's never shame in learning.
