I DON'T UNDERSTAND

I just read something that puzzles
Me.  I don't understand.  Why
The school district won't punish the boys
In the prom photo--they just let them skate by.

They say they can't because of the
Students First Amendment Rights.
What about the victims saved, and
The countries in that fight?

These days we can't use certain
Phrases and certain words are
Forbidden.  Terms such as racist
Or fascist get used too much by far.

Not reprimanding those stupid boys
For giving the Nazi salute is really
Reprehensible.  They are acting like
The Holocaust wasn't real--just a mockery.

They may not be punished now, but
What about when looking for a job?
They may have to explain to an employer
Why they made that picture at the prom.

They say that hate speech in this
Country will not be tolerated.  That
Picture was a form of hate speech.
Thinking it's cool is a load of crap.
