'Twas the night before Halloween--
And all through the house,
There was wailing and moaning,
It even scared the mouse.
You could hear chains rattle, and
Lights would go on and off. The bill
Was paid up, so something spooky was up.
Then came a scream--it gave you a chill.
You never really saw anyone, just heard them
Talking. Every once in a while something
Would fade in and then disappear. And
Someone with a terrible limp could be heard walking.
A piano that played concerto's all by itself, and
Books in the Library flew off the shelves.
Open a closet and of course, what's inside?
The proverbial skeleton where it always dwells.
'Twas the night of Halloween, and all
Through the house, the ghouls partied-they'd
Scared everyone out. Anyone who
Wants to stay there is sick in the head.
