Revisiting memories or places
Where you always felt safe,
Loved, and warm--brings back wonderful
Feelings through time and space.
Visiting cousins or Grandma-taking
Walks without fear of danger.
Walking on dirt roads where there
Wasn't any traffic or crazy strangers.
Christmas or Thanksgiving dinners,
Always a houseful and always hungry.
Looking through photo albums of our
Folks as kids in their dungarees.
Just sitting and talking to each other
When you were tired from playing.
Having fun at bedtime--kids camped
On the floor, after bedtime praying.
These are all snapshots of our
Lives, frozen in time. You
Wouldn't trade them for anything--
Our memories help us get through.
